Helping your child suceed at school
- Make sure they eat their breakfast every morning and that they eat sensibly during the day.
- Make sure that they have all the equipment that they need, that is all pencils, pens, ruler, paper, eraser and a school bag.
- Make sure that they do their homework at a fixed time. Help them with their learning. Check that their work is neat and tidy. Show an interest in their work and encourage them to use the local library, to read the newspaper and to enter competitions etc.
- Make sure they get enough sleep for their age group and that they get to school on time. Please let the school know if they have to be absent for any reason.
- Inform the teacher or Principal if there seems to be some difficulty, misunderstanding or health problem.
- Encourage your child to have pride in themselves, their home and their school.
- Finally, make sure that you know who their friends are and where and how they spend their leisure time.
